Valedictorian Mark Geiger Honored Guests. Members of the Board of Advisors. Superintendents, Director of Education. Teachers, Counselors, Parents, Students, and friends. Today is our special day. Naturally, we can not help but express our happiness and gratitude to the many people that have made this special day possible for us. We would like to express our deep appreciation before we leave here. Wc want to thank you all of you for helping us to gain knowledge and better understanding of the world You have been aware of our needs and our problems and have helped all of us so that we may be better prepared for the world. We greatly appreciate your help. We know that we will continue to live with our problems of deafness as we enter the future, but we are prepared to cope with them. Each of us will walk in different paths in the years ahead: Some of us will enter college and some will immediately begin work. We will face frustrations when making mistakes, but we will learn from our mistakes and wc can have a better opportunity of being successful. On behalf of the class of 1978. we want to thank you for coming here. Farewell! Salutatorian Pamela Walker We welcome you, Mr. Shipman, Dr. Brasel, Mr. Anderson, Miss. Bergstrom, Mr. Blackmer, staff, parents, relatives and friends to our commencement exercise this morning. Today is a day of mixed emotions for us. Wc arc happy and proud to be graduationg and beginning a new adventure. Wc are also sad to leave our “old home and friends. We appreciate the things which all of you have done for us and with which you have helped us.
