Principal Mrs. Evelyn Ganc The years ahead will be difficult but they can be rewarding. There are serious world problems for your generation to face: war. pollution, racism, over-populotion. inflation, drug abuse, crime, and others yet to come. There are exciting and good things: space exploration, marvelous new communication media, life saving medical discoveries, fantastic scientific and technological advancements, and most important of all a slowly but surely growing understanding among the peoples of all nations and races. We are confident that you will join the 1970 graduates of schools the world over in finding ways to help cure the ills of mankind, so that you and all of the world’s people will be able to enjay the good things of our age. We congratulate you on your accomplishments thus far. We have faith in your ability to be of service in the world. Let this be .your motto: “I expect to pass through this world but once, any good, therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.” —Stephen Grellet Vocational Coordinator Each year as graduation time draws near, those of us at W. S. D. who have, over the years, watched you prepare yourself for this great ocas-sion feel a sense of pride in your accomplishments and confidence in that fact that you are prepared to take your rightful place in our great society.
