®o ti)t Clasifi of 1969 During your years at WSD, our goal has been to give each of you the opportunity to become the best that you can be. Whether you were the best student in your class, the best player on the team, the best actor in the play, or the most popular boy or girl in the dormitory, was not our concern. We wanted you to learn as much as you could learn, to play as well as you could play, to work as well as you could work, and to have friends by being a good friend. Now, as you leave us, all that the world will ask of you and all that you need ask of yourselves is to become the very best that you can be, to do the best you can in work or play. Good luck and best wishes in the many adventures that will lead you to the achievement of MRS. EVELYN GANT of this important goal. Principal Graduation represents a key to the door of responsible citizenship, vocational opportunity and economic independence. For all of you, the accumulation of past learning experiences under the guidance of your many teachers and friends at WSD has paved the way to open this door. It is up to you to determine how you can best use these past experiences to serve your needs as a worthy citizen in our society. Each of you is looking to the future with an understandable feeling of excitement and independence. Many responsibilities and opportunities come with this new independence. Look forward to them with confidence and be cognizant of the well-spoken words of Abraham Lincoln, I will study and get ready and my chance will come.’ GARY BLACKMER Vocational Coordinator
