Winthrop’s struggle is representative of me, as |, too, struggle to survive and progress. My reality is evidenced by bags under my eyes from all-night studying and cramming when | could have been keeping up all semester. This is the metamorphic period for the emer- gence of once dormant self-confidence, am- bition, and drive that | brought to Winthrop to find expression as self — as well as to earn an education. | took steps forward and backward; | experienced trials and joys, faced realities, and avoided others, but through it all, | gained maturity — of self and mind.
