DR. FLORENCE E. SABIN Foreword EMORIES of the heart are elusive things and succeed 1n escaping the gropings of people who attempt to put them into the books of men. Yet, just such a task has been attempted in this volume of THE TATLER. The goal of this book has been to express the heritage of Winthrop daughters —the memories of thetr hearts. Realizing also that our life at Winthrop has been only a beginning of the life outside the walls of Winthrop, we have timorously included a bit of this mysterious beyond. Therefore, the inspiration of other women who have known that Great Experience has been employed tn the hope that the daughters of Winthrop will like- wise be more successful when they remember the ideals of thetr Alma Mater.
