dedication— lois averette It is one thing to take a job for the money involved. After all, that is the purpose of a job, to put bread and butter on the table. Our secretary seems to have missed the point completely. Time after time she is found discussing school policies with students. She works very hard to keep school spirit running high. Students are taught responsibility and a nearness to the bookkeeping of our school thanks to her organization of the Office Assistants. Most of all to put it in everyday language, she is our friend. SEARCHLIGHT ’ 68-’69 WINTERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL WINTERVILLE, N.C. At Winterville High School we are proud of our mascot, the wolf. The wolf represents strength, fearlessness, and at times, savagery. There are other characteristics of the wolf. He is very proud and even more independent. Our wolf will show you through our annual this year. He is best because he reflects the spirit of Winterville High School.
