Zhe Postlude (Last Will and Testament) We, the Senior Class of 1956, realizing that we have finally reached the Postlude to the suite of memories we compose and that the last notes of the melody will soon die to be heard no more, do hereby make and declare this our Postlude. Article I To our teachers, the majors, who have been so patient and wise in guiding us harmoniously through the sharps and flats of these past twelve years, we leave our sincere and deepest regards. Article II To our concert master, Mr. Clark, we leave our sincere appreciation for keeping our tempo up and teaching us to keep our keys in tune for the future. Article III To the half-notes, the juniors, who are melodiously joyous, we know, to take our places, we eave a hope that they will act their parts well as whole notes and will render an even greater :omposition of memories than has ever been rendered before. Article IV I, Marvin Joyner, leave my politeness and a few marriage hints to James Earl Stox. I, Polly Allen, leave, sadly relating that “my clothes are only my own!” I, Sherrill Garris, leave my F-U-N-N-Y laugh to anyone who can “do it”! I, Shirley Tyndall, leave my dependability and quietness to Barbara J. Stox. I, Joy Faulkner, leave my friendliness and ready smile to Barbara Evans (Junior). I, Janice Stox, leave my ability to get and keep a man to Gloria Nobles. I, Bobby Vaughn, leave slowly but surely, with no questions. I, William Corey, leave my basketball ability and socks to Ralph Wingate. I, Kent Worthington, leave my versatility and friendliness to whoever will take good advan- tage of them. I, Bruce Branch, leave my blond hair and quiet ways to Graham Crawford. I, Horace Moore, leave to join Lillian. I, Maggie Castelloe, leave my busy schedule, still on the go-go-go! I, Jack Sawyer , leave my basketball ability, height, slimness, and short hair to Bobby Grubbs. I, Frances Sutton, leave for another school, finally I I, Carlton Branch, leave my curly hair to Lelon Forlines. I, Faye Mills, leave my dependability and sincerity to Ethel Dunne. I, Ruby Lee MacArthur, leave sorrowfully, sadly and immune to bookworm fever I I, Billy Moye, leave to earn $100,000 easily, if possible. I, Ray Fussell, leave a thick trail of dust. I, Garland Tripp, leave my ability to get along with teachers for all the other students to share. I, Charles Smith, leave my typing ability and some exhaust from my Buick engine to Peggy Craft. I, Jennis Harris, leave my willingness to try to learn to Sidney Baker. I, Peggy Mobley, leave my versatile ways and a grudge against a typewriter to my sister, Betty Jean. I, Linda Nichols, leave my primping ways to anyone who needs them. I, Connie Sutton, leave my ability to say funny things at funny times to Carolyn Evans. I, Harold Nobles, leave my ability to fool the girls at lunch to any boy who drives next year. I, Patsy Tripp, leave my tomboyish ways to my brother, Autry, hoping that it will aid him in growing to early manhood. I, Helen McLawhorn, leave with memories of all the good times I’ve had at W. H. S. I, Carolyn Allen, leave my friendliness to my sister, Janet. I, Poe Worthington, leave with my Father’s permission ! I, Jeanette Moye, leave in search for some excitement before old age creeps up on me. Article V To our fellow classmates, faculty members, parents and friends we leave a last rendition of sincerity and regards. We hereby appoint our concert master, Mr. Paul J.
