The Spanish Club sponsored volleyball games, cheese sales for their trip to Canada, an international dinner, spring picnic, a trip to King's Island, and a Spanish Department Fiesta at Wheeling Col- lege. The purpose of the organization is to encourage students who are currently taking Spanish and those who have taken the language in the past to learn about the culture of Spanish speaking countries. Mrs. Burchfield was advisor for the eighth year. They sponsored a fall assembly, monthly rally in cooperation with other groups, overnighters, skating party, a trip to Kennywood , and two banquets. This was Mrs. Burchfie1d's tenth year as advisor. Diane Weaver served as President, Danny Sexton as vice president, Cindy Rice as Secretary, Cindy King as treasurer, Susie Sexton as Chaplain, and Brenda Gilcrest and Vickie Thomas as song leaders. ,,.. .,,. , ' 4? if . at Y I,
