BAND FORMAL Clever little Christmas-tree dance programs, which were the duplicates of the twenty-foot centerpiece, perfectly symbol- ized the theme of our band for- mal, HChristmas Time by Night. LQ s HOMECOMING The warm evening of October 6, 1961, was perfect for our homecoming ceremonies. To the strains of 'LThe Sweetheart of Sigma Chi, the candidates -Donna Arnester, escorted by her father, Patty Lawrence with her father, and Beverly McAllister, accompanied by her brother-walked into the heart formation. They were attended by Carol Kirlangitis and Larry Stone, Irene Ar- nester and Dale Starr, and Carole Harvilak and Randy Pohjola. Tension mounted until Marilyn Sargeant, the 1960 homecoming queen, approached Donna Arnester with the crown. Queen Donna began her reign with tears of happiness.
