Just what the Institute was set up for, is yet to be determined. Newest sensation on Broadway this season is LARRY Lamb. we always knew him as a HAM. Weese's Geese Farm owned by EVELYN WEESE and operated by SONDRA HURST is the most prosperous farm of its kind. It seems they have come up with a four-legged goose for people who love drumsticks. Professor GARY JONES, Ph.d, has just completed the 30th volume in his series of books on 'The Life of the Porcupine.U The book was published by Morris, Meyer, and Morris. SHIRLEY MORRIS is president, JIM MORRIS is Vice-president, and BILL MEYER is janitor. ROBERT CASPER is a congressman from the 78th district in Hawaii. He made front page news this year with his filibuster which lasted for 8 days and 7 nights. JIM VLIEGER is a representative from the 79th district. B TTY CONRAD is still at South wardgit is amazing how difficult it is to leave there once you're in. PATTY DUFF has the distinction of being the only one in the class of 1957 that is a movie star. KENNETH SNIDER is in charge of all her fan clubs. ROBERT SHOESMITH and JIM SHOEMAKER have gone into business for themselves. They operate a shoe shop, naturally. BOB HORN is their top salesman. ALVIN McCAULEY, special agent working for the U. S. Treasury Dept., has just completed his latest assignment--the investigatio of the Nichol1's Manufacturing Company, owned-and operated by LARRY NIC!-IOLL. The company was suspected of coining counterfeit nickels, but only the name was misleading. One of East Peru's most thriving businesses is Joyce's Jewelry Shop owned by JOYCE HENRICHS. Her biggest business asset is her employee ANN McCOY. Ann inspects all g ms to make sure they're the real McCoy. ANN BUSCH is the owner of Busch's Bush Business. LEONA BRUETT keeps the books in order and TH LMA FULTON trims the hedges. The class of '57 was 'wildcattingu for an oil well named VMARILYNW to help in- crease their weagre funds fcr graduation. This year it seemed advisable to break tradition and obtain an authentic prophecy visualized by a professional oracle. LELA PALMER, Winterset High School's mystic gave us the inside story for the class of 1957, as they appeared in 1967. CONNIE NELSON now holds the world's Heavyweight Championship title. She al- ways was a knockout! NANCY AGNEW received the Pulitzer Prize for her Hlnvention of the Year,H an automatic toenail clipper. Her collaborator was KAYE KERR. GAYLA FLETCHER is now head of the Iowa Highway Maintenance Commission. She paints the yellow no-passing lines down the center of the highways. MARY JO WOOD- WARD is her chief assistant. ANN ALEXANDER, B VERLY MORRISSEY, and HARRIET KILPATRICK are now employees of the Dilly Dolly Doughnut Factory. Ann cuts them, Beverly frosts them, and Harriet eats them! KAREN WALTZ is a professor of entomology in Afghanistan doing some intensive research in the field of fleas. She is under contract to LARRY HARREL and DALE HARRELL who are organizing a three-ring flea circus. MARLYS PORTER is a laboratory technician working with the great Dr. M RLE M RCER. Dr. Mercer has made his first million with his discovery of a Wfountain of youthn for rundown automobiles. JERRY KINNEY, CALVIN CLARK, and KENNY DAVIS are co-owners of the NYe Olde Car Lot.W They are Dr. Mercer's biggest customers. ANN BOYD has organized the first internationally known girls' basketball team. She is star forward, guard, coach, manager, publicity agent, and water girl for the wor1d's famous Boyd Bouncers. LaDONNA BROWN, ALICE WHALEN, and PEGGY YOUNG are her star players. W.H.S. has invaded the IAN! KAY GUIBERSON has just been appointed chairman of the Economic and Social Council. KAREN TUTTLE is a member of the Secretariat. MIRIAM WHISLER is a judge on the International Court of Justice. The world is in safe hands. 'RUBY PATTERSON,JOY KINNEY,and KATHERINE HARTMAN have organized a lonely hearts club for those who aren't as lucky as they. DEANNA BINDEL and JOYCE TRIPP are press agents for the new singing sensation, Lance Langdon, better known to W.H.S. Students as JERRY BEEM. STEVE GOOD, GERALD CAM RON, JOHN BUTTERFIELD, and JIM POLAND are now members of the Metropolitan Opera Company--stage hands, that is. CLIFF READ, ED CALLISON, and FRED GIBSON operate the Planter's Funeral Home. HUGH RAMSEY drives their hearse. Business is booming, it seems people are just n dying to get in. GLENN MAPES is proprietor of the Mapes Meat Market. DWIGHT CRESAP is his chief butcher, he always was a cut-up. GENE ZIKA is an early morning disc-jockey over Station WHS. MORRIS HOWELL is the announcer for the late-late-late-late show. Gene wakes them up, and Morris puts them to sleep. Professor RICHARD McCONNELEE has just returned from Jupiter where he has made a study of the Jupitonian Potato Bug. ANN LIBBY made the expedition as Professor McConnelee's private secretary. The firm of WALLACE, MILES, and HOLLINGSWORTH has become the leading brokerage in the U. S. ROSEMARY, SHERRY, and KAREN are noted for being the only women stock brokers in the world. To the faculty we leave our deepest gratitude and thanks for the lmderstanding and patient help they have given us in coping with our many problems. To the juniors we leave the famed and everlasting lower hall. May they have as much fun and excitement as we have had. To the sophomores we leave that exhilirating feeling of being upperclassmen. To the freshmen we leave the hope that their remaining high school years will be as much fun for them as ours have been. To the incoming freshmen, formerly known as the 8th graders, we leave them aJ.l the confidence we have attained in the last four years so that their first year will not prove to be a difficult one. May all your problems be small ones. JERRY BEEM leaves his trick knee to Phil Ridout. Something else to complain about, Phil. VI EVE KENT leaves her arguing ways in Mr. Pace's class to larry Watts. ED CALLISON, FRED GIBSON, and CLIFF READ leave their coke times at Miller's to Bob Bass, Dick Gibson, and Russel Utsler. HARRIET KILPATRICK as a student teacher leaves her friendly relationship with the kin- dergarten children to Jill Beverlin. ROBERT CASPE. leaves his farm problem discussions in economics to Bill Mitchell. Don't give Mrs. Rumel too much trouble, Bill. PHRANA LECOCQ leaves a golden note to the soprano section in Mixed Chorus. Maybe you won't go flat now, sopranos. CALVIN CLARK leaves his mischievous ideas to Doug Good. Hope you don't get into too much trouble, Doug. MARILYN BQINELL -and RUBY PATTERSON leave their merchandising jobs at the dime stores to any underclassmen who have enough will power to lay off the candy. DWIGHT CRESAP leaves his fabulous run at the Valley game to Kenny Collins. Better start training now, Kenny, so you will have enough wind. SHERRY MILES and RONNIE WIGGINS leave their spot :Ln the hall to Marla Jackson and Dennis Lamport. KENNETH DAVIS leaves and decides he'll take his new car with him, although we'll prob- ably see it around school quite a bit next year. BEVFF-I-I BF-ITTAIN, IELA PALMER, and SHIRLEY MORRIS leave their trips to town every noon to Jo Ann See, Laura Allen, and Sandy Wiggins. NEAL DAY leaves his athletic ability to all the football boys. It will take a lot of work to fill his shoes. GLENN MAPES leaves his bass voice to Kenny Cortner. NANCY AGNEII leaves her first seat in the auditorium to Gary Allen. The senior class was going to leave MERLE MBCER to the junior class to help them with their studies next year, but they decided to take him with them so he can help them with their future problems.
