SOCIAL STUDIES The purpose of our Social Studies Classes is to bring about a better understanding of our American heritages and values from the old world ideas. We attempt to prepare the students with the ability to understand the current laws and democratic process that we live by. Students entering High School have several options as to what their math curriculum will be. Those who are college bound usually take Alg. l their lst year and Geometry their second year. They are encouraged to take Alg. ll their 3rd year and Trig. and Advanced Math their senior year. Those who have trouble with math or are not college bound take Fundamental Math l and ll the lst two years. They are then encouraged to take Alg. l their third year and Geometry when they are Seniors. Only six quarters of math are required for any student to graduate.
