5 Actwztzes School opened on September 5 thls year wlth the usual confuslon of dis trzbutmg books assxgnments and students gettmg acquamted w1th the new schedules Sophomores wasted no t1me m glvmg Freshmen their 1n1t1at1on On Sept ember 15 each Freshman had to appear 1n some rldlculous stunt The enter tamment made an evenmg of fun for the publlc 1n general at Umon Hall On September Z7 the ent1re Semor Class went to Bangor to have thelr graduatlon p1ctures taken Everyone as usual was prlmped up 1n best b1b and tucker On October 15 the Autumn Supper was sponsored by the Semors There was an abundance of excellent food and a large crowd and the class recelved many complxments on the supper backed up by requests for another 1n the near future On November 4 we started our magaz1ne campalgn wh1ch ran for ten days Mr Hov1s conducted h1s usual hurnorous mtroductzon m general assembly The money recelved was used to buy warm up Jackets for the gxrls basketball team The school play Aunt Abb1e Answers An Ad was successfully pre sented on November 10 The mus1cal spec1a't1es between acts by Kathryn Foley and Cynthma Dunroe were much enjoyed Mrs Nelson was the dxrector Ind1v1dual p1ctures were taken agam tlns year by the representat1ve from the Allston Studlos The Glee Club meets every Tuesday thls year Mr LEWIS has worked hard w1th this group and has proved h1mself a very popular teacher We have had a var1ety of motlon p1ctures whzch have glven us a most prohtable form of recreatxon The Sen1ors also put on a Barn Dance whlch proved to be a huge success Everyone had a good t1me Semors especzally Cxder and doughnuts were sold and there was a Ch1nese Raffle junmr Speakmg Prehrmnarles were February 7 Every jumor d1d a fme Job Exght contestants were selected to speak 1n Apr1l at Umon Hall The .IUHIOIS were a httle shaky but who 1sn t when they are facmg the student body?
