The department encourages girls to be more wor- thy family members, and to prepare for future home- making. Freshman girls are taught the importance of homemaking. INDUSTRIAL ARTS Industrial Arts strives to develop an understanding of industry in our society. It encourages the mind to visualize, directs the hand in producing the object visualized, and provides for the satis- faction of creating something of value.
