Many students feel that the small class sizes help them adjust to the challenge of college academics. Our small size creates a friendly community environment and it is easy to get to know fellow students and instructors. WSSU considers a well-rounded social, cultural and person- al life just as important as academics. There are 88 student organizations including honor societies, professional associa- tions, religious groups, hobby and sports clubs, and fraternities and sororities. 'X L. it f A tW,xo dining facility provides sensibly-priced home-style cooking, Fast-food meal service is also available, The Student Life Office aids in helping students who do not desire to live on campus to find off-campus living accomodations. The WSSU campus covers 76 acres, providing lots of breathing room and a highly-livable atmosphere for on-campus stuf dents. WSSU maintains an efficient health service and a vvell- equipped infirmary on campus, under the direction of the University physician and supervising nurse. Consulting ser' vices are available from doctors, dentists and other medical specialists. WSSU offers degree programs in four divisions -the Divi- sion of Applied Arts and Sciences, the Division of Education, and Division of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the Division of Nursing. The University offers degree programs leading to the bachelor of science, and bachelor of arts, and bachelor of science in applied science degrees.
