Winston-Salem State University is a four-year coeducational institution, offering more than 20 undergraduate degree pro- grams. WSSU is one of the I6 institutions of higher learning that comprise the University of North Carolina. WSSU has a wide choice of professions, including teaching, nursing, medical technology, business administration and computer science. About half of our 2,200 students live on campus. The WSSU campus covers 76 acres, providing lots of breathing room and a highly-livable atmosphere for on-campus stuf dents. WSSU maintains an efficient health service and a vvell- equipped infirmary on campus, under the direction of the University physician and supervising nurse. Consulting ser' vices are available from doctors, dentists and other medical specialists. WSSU offers degree programs in four divisions -the Divi- sion of Applied Arts and Sciences, the Division of Education, and Division of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the Division of Nursing. The University offers degree programs leading to the bachelor of science, and bachelor of arts, and bachelor of science in applied science degrees.
