-giffizs 2 'K' Illiiistuii-,Salrin Stair Qjniuvrsiig NX WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CARULINA 27101 vlffii.-nl Iinvervinient A I Dear Fellow Rams, It seems only a few hours ago when I sat with a group of freshmen, listening to WSSU almnnus, joseph D. johnson. A noted attor- ney, Johnson described WSSU as his 'tmode of transportation. I was immediately im- pressed because I had never thought of my new school in that vein. The other members and I have traveled far and fast since entering the university in 1979. Each experience - each stop along the jour- ney - has been an opportunity for learning and growing. This year has been especially enlightening as we paid tribute to the institu- tion's pioneers and observed 'fNinety Years of Excellence. Continuing students, I encourage you to keep a steady course. Remember your planned destinations, and work hard to arrive well-prepared. To my fellow seniors I say, become active members of the Alumni Association. Remem- ber your mode of transportation. Let's en- sure others ofa chance to receive and achieve as we have. WSSU has served us well in moving us along to where we want to be in life. With this solid foundation and God's help, our poten- tial is virtually limitless. Sincerely, M ima, Christopher A. Wilson, President Student Government Association 'u' mr: sun s A
