It can service when reason to, it can echo when searching for, it can flourish when challenged, and it can conceive a million weapons. Imagination, creativity, can make, take away or add to what ever efforts are applied towards a goal, and when love and self is introduced, you can become a growing foundation for yourself and for others. Until then, know our past more power to our present then, peace to our future Sababu C. Norris Dear Rams, The challenge of success, one of many demands to which college students must respond, is by far the most exacting. It is essential to establish goals underscored with monumental ideals and actively pursue these goals with will power and confidence in ourselves. For nearly a century, Winston-Salem State University has prepared youth for achievement and service in a democratic society. Strong teaching, research, community and professional service are hallmarks of the faculty. After departing, WSSU alumni can reflect upon their involvement in an educational endeavor that is truly unique. To the illustrious Class of '8l, it is my hope and dream that every graduate will work toward gaining as many skills as possible in hisfher chosen profession. To the underclassmen, my message is short but to the point: set no limit to the amount of that quantity and some more in order to face the challenges of the future, To everyone associated with this university, please make an effort to serve humanity as often os you can, we are unable to determine when we will be in need of someone's concern and assistance.
