We now walk off the stage of academia to take our respective roles in the world. For some of us, the academic roles we played here will end. Some, blessed with new hopes and new fears, will begin another iour-. ney disseminating knowledge learner! here so that others might benefit. 'ditillffor others the aca- demic escalator will co tinue to climb. Whatever the future holds in store for us, it will be a partial reflection of the past, eclipsed by our own individual preferences. When one looks back into the pond of yesteryear memories recur - some painful, some ioyful. Years from now, as new truths unfold and as the agony and ecstasy of days at State University begin to fade in our minds, we hope that through some means the emotional involvement of those days can be recaptured and those experiences relived with the same intensity. To that end we have bound together the pages of this edition of THE RAM. We relinquish it to your hands and hopefully your hearts.
