FOREWORD Nothing can be more beautiful, more enjoyable, nor more difficult as the transition from adolescence to early adulthood. Just as we, the seniors, have undergone growth, socially, academically and culturally from our freshman to senior years, so have we witnessed the transformation of a great institution. As freshmen we entered an institution newly transformed from a Teachers College to a State College. As seniors we are departing from the magnificent Winston- Salem State University. As a child matures he changes in many Ways but his basic ideals and goals remain the same. Although State underwent transformation, her aims and goals are still based on that profound motto: Enter To Learn, Depart to Serve. We as members of the senior class of 1970 are witnesses to the transformations that have taken place during the four years, both within ourselves and the institution. The instructors are the prosecuting attorneys for they questioned and challenged every phase of our growth. We, the seniors, are the defendants guilty as charged of being exposed to the knowledge that will enable us to enhance our lives as well as the lives of others. Society is the jury because it is in society that the verdict for the Black man lies. , - ,S , ,, ,,
