Vice-president Virginia The 1988-89 Student Body Officers had a very busy year. They attended a Leadership Conference at the beginning of the year and it really motivated them. They tried really hard to get everyone involved in school activities and to promote school spirit and pride. They were really interested in helping students with drug problems and started a drug awareness program. This year's officers really cared about the student body.

STUDENT COUNCIL 1988-89 Future flyers get their wings Student Council was a very entusiastic group this year. A few of the members attended a Leadership Conference in Show Low early in September. They came back with many exciting new ideas to promote school spirit and to get more people involved in school activities. One of the funnier things they came back with was the National Order of Buzzards. If you don’t know what this means ask a member today. Student Council did their usual activities such as the slave auction and the Howdy Dance. They also started a drug awareness program. Council members included Virginia Hancock. Steve Ortiz.
