The king candidates were Tom Breeze. Mike Hardy. Germaine Mayberry, Jason Moser, and Pat Ruiz. Finally at the assembly Pat and Jodi were crowned king and queen. Seniors built the winning float. 9 METEOR King Virgil Hunter Queen Becky Johnson Dedicatee This year’s Meteor Dedicatee is Jim Boles. Mr. Boles began teaching World History in 19 2. Between the years 19b3-®0 he taught American History. He has been the Asst. Principal at WHS for the last 8 years. Some of his hobbies include restoring old houses and antiques,church activites, and carpentry. n Staff tamed deadline waves April Seto. Not only did the board approve raises for the staff, it also allocated money for school improvements. The high school interior was completely repainted. Carpeting was installed in several rooms on the third floor. New heating systems were used to replace the old radiator system. Highlighting the 87-88 season for the Lady Bulldogs was their first place finish at the Winter Classic Basketball Tournament. After placing second at the divisional tournament, the Bulldogs went to the state tournament. They won the first game against a strong Safford team and finished the season with another exciting game with Window Rock.
