Hank is a custodian here at WHS. He has worked here for 6 years, and says he enjoys his work very much. Hank is married and has 2 kids. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, swimming, and raquetball. He was quoted as saying, I’m the best raquetball player in Winslow. Hank is an extremely friendly person, and if you don't know him, you are missing something. 3 Chris Moore was chosen as this year's Annual King because of his out-going personality and dedication to school activities. He has been in wrestling and football and lettered in both his Junior and Senior years. Chris was also a homecoming king candidate. 4 Diane Walker is the 1986 87 Annual Queen. Diane has worked hard for her class during the past four years. She was involved in many school activities as well as outside activities. One of the first events was the induction ceremony of new members (pictured below). All old and new members of this year’s society gather for a formal portrait after the ceremony. Our own representatives were able to meet other top students from other school and work with them in the preparation of a ficticious government. This year's Christmas activities were a great success. Not only did the food drive benefit the less fortunate of Winslow, but it also brought school pride to WHS. The grand total was figured at $2,119.48. The seniors topped the other classes with a total of $788.32: consequently, Melcor Salazar and Stephanie Oliver were chosen as Christmas Royalty. The sophomores placed second with $550.14, the juniors placed third with $515.14, and the freshmen landed fourth with $265.91. Sharon Cox (44) concentrates on her serve. She was an enthusiastic and supportive member of the team all season long. The 1986-87 JV volleyball team ended with a successful 9-5 record. The team consisted of 2 juniors, 5 sophomores, and 3 freshmen. Because the team was young, they lacked some skills, but they made up for that with plenty of spirit. The Bulldogs ended the regular season with a 16-6 overall record and second place in conference play.
