JUNIORS i; 15 1 ■ SOPHOMORES Dedication For more than three decades now you have served the needs of education in our community. We know that it is because of your faithful work that our library ranks as one of the best, if not the best, in our state. We have caused you much trouble at times in library but the students who are earnest in getting an education will respect and thank you for this help in the days and years to come. You have also shown your interest in the teaching profession by holding positions of leadership in educational organizations in our state. Your world travels have become an inspiration to everyone who has seen your colored slides and heard your lectures. For a person who has devoted half a life time to helping others, we take this opportunity to show a token of our appreciation by dedicating the 1960 METEOR to you J La, vuj A 5 Fore word. - • •! t-?v; £« • V1 ’-V TV' Other parts body assist the B:..J_________________Si J i_________.-;... - ... When she retired in December she completed 23 years of service on the board of education—longer than anyone else has served. During her seven terms, this dedicated woman has seen 1,488 students graduated. Mrs. Brennan graduated in 1909 from eighth grade in Lincoln School. She says Winslow didn't have a high school until 1912 and by that time she had a job and didn't further her education. Her three sons graduated from WHS. They proved to have that old fight spirit that seems to be a traditional attribute of the Winslow Bulldogs. Under the fine direction of coaches Emil Nasser and Cad Weatherton, the squad produced some of the school's outstanding players this year. The team as a whole was considered too small physically but where there's a will, there's a way. With this proverb in mind the Bulldogs fought their hardest to the very last second of each game. And the important thing about this year's season is that the Bulldogs worked more as a team. Dean of Northern Arizona coaches. An indispensable man for the team is Mr. Herman McArthur, trainer for the three squads. Mr. Mac is responsible for the physical condition of squad members.
