Our class officers were: Odyne Fettinger, President, Kermit Hurst, Vice Presi- dent, Paul Hume, Secretary, and Fred Willis, Treasurer. When we started on our Junior year we were a little better behaved and as a result we could get on the good side of the teachers more easily. We were intro' duced to Caesar and we found it very hard to get acquainted with him. We also found it very hard to understand the Whys in Geometry. The members of the Junior class were: James Abel, Orvis Bee, William Bellamy, Maceil Brewster, Vernon Barnett, Earl Chew, Kenneth Fettinger, Odyne Fettinger, Fountie Hayden, Paul Hume, George Hurst, Kermit Hurst, Malcolm Nixon, Edna Rodarmel, Fred Willis, Hibbitt Woodford, Haskell Woolsey, Beulah Davis, Darrell Conder, Lawrence Young, and Helen McConnell. The faculty consisted of B. O. Johnson, Harry Mauntel, Mildred Winsett, Lorel Coleman, T. R. Houehins, and Esther' Barrett. We gave a play, The Deacon Entangledf' which was well received by those who saw it. We gave the Seniors a farewell banquet and every one had a fine time. The Seniors forgot their dignity and were as jolly as the Juniors. When the Senior year rolled around our hair had streaks of gray in it from trying so hard to bring up our teachers so that they would agree with us on all things. Our class oflicers are: Hibbitt Woodford, President, Paul Hume, Vice President, Crvis Bee, Secretary, and James Abel, Treasurer. We have several members on the basket ball team. They are: William Bellamy, james Abel, Hibbitt Woodford, and Malcolm Nixon. Different members of the class have quit until at the present time we have only seventeen members. The graduating class consists of: james Abel, Odyne Fettinger, Orvis Bee, Kermit Hurst, Haskell Woolsey, Maceil Brewster, Malcolm Nixon, Vernon Barnett, Lawrence Young, Fred Willis, Earl Chew, William Bellamy, Peter Soderling, Paul Hume, Robert Barrett, Hibbitt Woodford, and Helen McConnell. And now as our high school career comes to a close we wish to thank the teachers for all of the good instructions they have given us. We would not do it, but as we muse, we will bid farewell to the Jolly Juniors, the same to the Silly Sophomores fwho have lived up to their namej, and a fond adieu to the weakfminded Freshmen. -Helen McConnell. We were enrolled as Freshmen. fWe tried to get in as ,Seniors but they wouldn't let usj. This was the beginning of the illustrious class of '28. Unlike most Freshmen, we had the unusual combination of weak minds and strong voices. Those who entered as Freshmen were: james Abel, Vernon Barnett, Orvis Bee, William Bellamy, Maceil Brewster, Geraldean Brewster, Frank Brewster, Arthur Bowmer, Ted Brown, Earl Carlisle, Earl Chew, Frank Coberly, Odyne Fettingcr, Kenneth Fettinger, Fountie Hayden, Paul Hume, Kermit Hurst, Naomi Wickware, Hibbitt Woodford, Haskell Woolsey, Fred XVillis, Lawrence Young, Wilburn Singleton, Delbert Keith, Edna Rodarmel and Helen McConnell. William Bellamy was our representative on the basket ball team. For our class officers we elected: Hibbitt Woodford, President, Odyne Fettinger, Vice President, Fred Willis, Treasurer, and Helen McConnell, Secretary. Our teachers that year were: Emery Couts, Harry Mauntel, Waldo Wood, Esther Barrett, and Elmer Lucas. The next year we came back and succeeded in entering as Sophomores. It was this year that we really won our reputations. fFor bad or worsej Mr. Couts had left us to become County Superintendent. Our teachers were: B. O. Johnson, Harry Mauntel, Waldo Wood, Eleanor Greene, and Esther Barrett. Our class consisted of: james Abel, Ted Brown, Vernon Barrett, Geraldean Brewster, Orvis Bee, William Bellamy, Frank Coberly, Oscar Coberly, Earl Carlisle, Earl Chew, Odyne Fettinger, Kenneth Fettinger, Kermit Hurst, Edison Johnson, Malcolm Nixon, George Nichols, Hibbitt Woodford, Fred Willis, Haskell Woolsey, Lawrence Young, Robert Barrett, Edna Rodarmel, Paul Hume, Helen McConnell and Maceil Brewster. We were shown into the mysteries of Latin and were prepared for an introduc- tion to Caesar the next year. This year was full of jokes and pranks of which our class took a prominent part. We had several social events, among which were a hayride and a Halloween party. Page Seventeen
