VOCATIONAL The Vocational Department at WHS works hard to fulfill its objective which is to prepare students for later life, whether they go into business, college, or homemaking. In Home Ec., stu- dents learn how to become con- scientious homemakers, and stu- dents in the typing, bookkeeping, and shorthand classes learn skills which they can use in busi- ness or in college. MUSIC This year the Music Depart- ment was under the direction of Mr. John Holtzciaw. Through hard work on both his part and the band’s part, the band won first, second, and third places in the Newberry, Great Falls, and Winnsboro Christmas Parades respectively. WHS thanks the band, who has not only brought recognition to the school but has also provided fine entertainment at the football games.
