Cindy Johns, selected by Beta, served as Beta Vice-President this year. She was active in 4-H, FBLA, Band, Anchor, Speech, French, and Masque 8z Gavel. Cindy participated in NSU and NLU speech tournaments, and placed 3rd in Public Speaking in 1982. Cindy also participated in FBLA District Convention, where she received a Superior ranking. She re- presented WSHS at District Literary Rally in Am. History, English I-IV, Al- gebra I, Biology, and Trigonometry. She also represented Sr. High at State Rally in English ll-IV. Cindy received many honors in Band, and was a mem- ber of the All Star Marching Band. Melissa Flurry was one of Masque 8x Gavel's Who's Who representatives. She served as M 8: G President, and was elected as M 8a G Beauty. Melissa also participated in Speech, Anchor, Band, and Beta. She served as the 1981-82 Band Sweetheart, and was a Basketball letterman. Besides basket- ball, Melissa played softball for three years. Melissa competed at District Rally in English II and III, Am. History, and Physics. Rhonda Bamburg was selected by FTA and Speech Clubs. This year she served as District and State President for FTA. She was also an active mem- ber in 4-H, FBLA, Pep Squad, An- chor, French, Beta, M 8a G, Salt Rock, and Cheerleaders. Rhonda competed at various Speech tournaments and was named Ms. FBLA at the 1983 District Convention. Rhonda was cho- sen as the 1982 La. Girls' State Dele- gate and was named La.'s Jr. Miss. She was a three year letterman in bas- ketball, and also played softball. At District Rally, Rhonda competed in Al- gebra I, English I, French l, Algebra ll, Chemistry, and Accounting I. Clay Wheeler, President of Beta, was elected by Beta for Who's Who. Clay also participated in FBLA, 4-H, FFA, Speech, FTA, and Student Council. He received numerous hon- ors and awards including FFA Star Greenhand, Star Chapter Farmer De- gree, and Star Agri-Businessman. Clay was a member of the State Champion Parliamentary Law Team, and was a member of the FBLA Parliamentary Law Team. Clay was active on the FFA Meat Identification Team, Forest- ry Team, and was the FFA Public Speaker for 1981-82. In Speech Clay competed at the NSU Speech Tourna- ment, and acted in Tiger Follies and Cheaper by the Dozen. He repre- sented District III at FBLA Convention as Mr. FBLA. Clay competed at Dis- trict Rally in Ag. I-IV, Chemistry, and Advanced Math. 122 Clubs' Who's Who Regina Jones represented Anchor Salt Rock and French. She served as Anchor Treasurer and Salt Rock Edi- tor. Regina was also active in FBLA, Speech, Science Club, 4-H, Pep Squad, Beta, Student Council, and FTA. She was awarded one of the Top Ten Talents Awards in Speech and participated in NSU and NLU speech tournaments. She was a candidate to 4-H Short Course for two years. At 4- H Summer Camp she was a Sr. Coun- selor. In FBLA, she placed 2nd at 1983 District Convention in Extemp. Speaking. Regina competed at District 'Rally in Am. History, French II, Eng. IV, and Adv. Math. A Phil Howard was selected by FFA. While in FFA, Phil competed on the Meat Identification Team, and the Par- liamentary Law Team, which was ranked 5th in the nation. Besides FFA, Phil was also active in Speech, FBLA, FTA, Student Council, and was one of the Salt Rock photographers. Phil was a member of the FBLA Parliamen- tary Law Team which placed 2nd at 1983 District Convention.

Angela Ouitta was nominated for Who's Who by 4-H. Angela served as 4-H president this year. She was also active in FBLA, Speech, FTA, Pep Squad, Toy Tigers, and Cheerleaders. Angela was in the Beauty and Beau Pageant for three years and placed lst for the past two. Angela reigned as Homecoming Queen for the 1982-83 school year. Sondra Wagoner, President of An- chor, was selected by Anchor for Who's Who. Besides this club, Sondra also participated in 4-H, FBLA, FHA, FTA, Pep Squad, Speech, Salt Rock, and was captain of the Cheerleaders. Sondra also served as FFA Sweetheart for two years. Throughout high Clubs' Who's Who school, she received honors as Class Favorite, 4th Runner-Up in Beauty 8: Beau Pageant, and was nominated for the Homecoming Court two years. Sondra was also listed in Who's Who Among American High School Stu- dents. Patty Webb served as Who's Who representative for Library Club. She served on the Tiger Roar staff for two years, and was Editor this year. Patty was also active in 4-H, FBLA, FTA, Speech, and Pep Squad. In Speech, she participated in Tiger Fol- lies three years, the 2-act play for two, and competed at the NLU Tourna- ment.
