Jess Grigg is the son of Mr, and Mrs. Ed Grigg. Jess was voted as a WSHS Outstanding Senior because of his ac- tivities in FFA, FCA, FBLA, Anchor, Beta, 4-H, Speech, Football, and Track. Jess served as FFA Secretary for 2 years, and received the high indi- vidual ranking in Poultry in 1982. Jess participated in the Regional Track Meet in discus, and was ranked 2nd in the district and 3rd at Regional. He was also a three-year letterman in football and was named to the All Dis- trict Team in 1981 and 1982. Jess plans to attend La. Tech in the fall in Engineering.

Clay Wheeler, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wheeler, was chosen as an Out- standing Senior. Clay was active in Beta, 4-H, Speech, FFA, FTA, and was named an honorary member of M8LG. This year he served as Beta President and 4-H Reporter. He was a member of the FFA and FBLA Parlia- mentary Law Teams, and was selected as one of Betals Whols Who Represen- tatives. Clay also served on the Meats Identification Team and the Forestry Tea, and placed 2nd at the State Liter- ary Rally in Ag. IV. Clay plans to at- tend La. Tech in the fall and major in Engineering. 118 Outstanding Senior

Sonya Ward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Ward was voted as an Out- standing Senior. She participated in Speech, MSLG, Beta, Anchor, FBLA, FTA, 4-H. Sonya was manager of Pep Squad for two years, Vice-President of M8zG and French, and President of FBLA. She received the Most Im- proved Speech Senior Award in M8cG, and was the recipient of the Voice of Democracy District Essay Award. So- nya was also chosen for Who's Who in Speech, MSLG, French, and FBLA. In the fall, Sonya plans to attend NLU in Geology. 120 Outstanding Senior
