Miss WSI-IS Rhonda Bamburg Rhonda Bamburg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bamburg, was selected as Miss WSHS because of her total involvement at WSHS. She was a lead- er in Speech, Beta, FTA, M8zG, French, Anchor, FBLA, 4-H, and Salt Rock. For four years she played bas- ketball and served as cheerleader for three. This year Rhonda also served as FTA district and state President, and Miss FBLA in Louisiana. Rhonda re- presented Winn Parish at La. Girls' State. Academically Rhonda main- tained a 4.0 average. After gradu- ation, Rhonda will attend NLU and major in Accounting. Miss WSI-IS 117

Mr. WSHS Jay I-luckaby Jay Huckaby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald I-luckaby, distinguished himself as a leader and a scholar. He was an active member in Speech, FFA, FTA, Beta, Anchor, FCA, Student Council, and Salt Rock, and served as FFA and FTA President. He was a member of the FFA Parliamentary Law Team, which placed first in state competition for 3 years and placed 5th in national competition. Throughout his high school years, Jay maintained a 4.0 grade average and represented WSHS at the District Literary Rally in Ag. IV and Trigonometry. Jay was also active in the athletic program at WSI-IS. For his hard work and excellent perfor- mance in football, Jay was awarded a football scholarship at Brigham Young University in Utah, where he plans to major in Computer Science. 116 Mr. WSI-lS

Clay Wheeler, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wheeler, was chosen as an Out- standing Senior. Clay was active in Beta, 4-H, Speech, FFA, FTA, and was named an honorary member of M8LG. This year he served as Beta President and 4-H Reporter. He was a member of the FFA and FBLA Parlia- mentary Law Teams, and was selected as one of Betals Whols Who Represen- tatives. Clay also served on the Meats Identification Team and the Forestry Tea, and placed 2nd at the State Liter- ary Rally in Ag. IV. Clay plans to at- tend La.
