1. el wr sam, , jf, if SWEETHEARTS ON PARADE The Gym was hushed. An air of antici- pation filled the room as the orchestra be- gan playing Sweethearts on Parade. All eyes turned toward the two large hearts that served as doorways at the south end of the gym, -as Nancy Schmidt and Dave Peterson began the grand march to the far end of the gym. There, King Don preceded by his Queen, Judy, made his grand entrance through a rose covered trellis, and they marched sedately to their thrones. The King, Don Neubauer, was crowned by our class president, Nancy Schmidt, he in turn crowned Judy, his Queen. Don Mary The Queen's formal was white and floor length. The skirt was made up of many narrow rows of ruffles, and billowed about her like a lovely white cloud. The gym was truly beautiful. The pre- dominating colors were pink, turquoise, and silver, streamers of which made the false ceiling and gave the room a canopied ef- fect. ln the center of the gym h-ung'a huge pink heart. Everyone had a delightful time, and the Juniors were the first to admit that it was the best prom Winneconne had ever had. Judy Bev Glenn Irene Guy Lyla
