'-mia-Q. Vice-President Joanne Gauerke Peggy Wentzel Treasurer J U N Social Chairman Mary Lul'sey Janice Landwehr ln a special Junior class meeting for officers, they were discussing a special benefit dance ffor the Juniors' benefit naturallyl. The class presi- dent, Tom Keough, was planning what his classmates were to do to help get the dance plans underway. Tom and the class' vice-president, Joanne Gauerke, were hoping to fill the class treasury, under the supervision of Mary Lutsey, with lots of needed cash for the prom. With the help of their social chairman, Janice Landwehr, they hoped to make the dance a success. First of all, they would need chaperones. How about our three ad- visors, Mr. Diamond, Mrs. l-loeft, and Mr. Schauer? suggested Tom. They all agreed, and Joanne was elected to ask them. That settled, they decided they needed two boys to act as dance su- pervisors. Janice suggested Tom Keough and Jerry Reetz, but since they both were on homecoming court that was ruled out. Why don't we ask the two boys that are our student council representatives, Larry Armstrong and Chuck Radtke to do it, and Adele Christianson and Judeen Erickson, the other two representatives to play records, asked Peggy Wentzel, the class secretary. They all decided it was a fine idea. Next came the problem of the dance theme. Someone suggested honoring the Junior Class athletes at the dance. lt was decided upon and Peggy wrote down the long list of boys out for sports, which included- Chuck Radtke, Larry Armstrong, Elroy Angell, John Buser, Tom Ehlke, Carl Hendry, Malcolm Davis, Bob Lipske, Chuck Bradley, Jerry Reetz, Chuck Schueler, John Reinert, Doug Jensen, Bob Holtz, and Fred Krue- ger. Mary Lutsey suggested that Adele Christianson, the only cheerleader from the class announce them at the dance, and make a small speech in their honor. Final plans were made and the special meeting was adjourned just in time for the first class of the afternoon. 19
