Why? Spirit Week!! Highlighting the activity, organized by the Student Coun- cil, were theme days. At this time the student body ap- peared throughout the school in a variety of outlandish costumes: hats and sunglasses, warrior paint, T-shirts and jeans, and togas. Water pistol-toting hunters playing The Most Dangerous Game lurked in the corridors tracking down their prey. Climaxing the week was Friday’s pep ral- ly. A few football players showed some spirit by par- ticipating in the bugaloo cheer and in a variation of musical chairs. Concluding the rally was a pie throw. The lucky recipient of a cream pie in the face was chosen by raffle and, in a tight race, turned out to be Mr. Beattie. Who says Winnacunnet has no spirit?
