MONDAZE Good Monday Boston! It’s 6:15, time to wake up and rock with the J. Geils Band! Everyone knows the feeling, jolted out of a deep sleep (or perhaps an appetizing dream) by an overly cheerful radio personality who obviously has never felt the Monday morning blahs. The first glimpse of yourself in the mirror that morning makes you cringe — definitely too much partying and not enough sleep this weekend. That hair, those circles — quick! Get to a shower fast! School in this condition is no treat. All you want to do is sleep through homeroom but your neighbor, who only wants to talk about the latest love in her life, and friendly E. Hawley’s voice over the inter- com makes this virtually impossible. You proceed to your first class in search of peace, which is nowhere to be found. However, after being jostled through the halls by grinners, smilers, and laughers for three straight periods, your grim exterior begins to crack. The eyes shine, a kind word escapes your lips, a giggle erupts into laughter and, suddenly, Monday isn’t so bad. Just think, only four days till Friday!
