MR. HAROLD WIENS B.A. Music Director Conducting History of Music Voice Harmony Music Theory Introduction to Music Although it has the purpose of reaching man with a message from God, church music in itself can not make him a Christian, nor can it cause him to worship. How¬ ever, when music is utilized by the Holy Spirit, it becomes a vehicle of the truth of salvation, which, when responded to by man, will result in making him a Christian. Likewise, music is able to induce man’s worship to God. 8

MR. JOHN FROESE B.A., B.Th. Christian Service Chairman Church History Mennonite History Major Prophets General Epistles Principles of Teaching Youth stands at the cross-roa ' ds of life. Basically, the Bible recognizes only two ways — Behold I set before you the way of life and the way of death.” Jeremiah 21:8b We have chosen the way of life — let this be a settled matter and let us con¬ tinue on in this way. But,” we sometimes complain, “this way of life offers so many opportunities, I don’t know what to do!” First of all, thank God when you do have many opportunities. To grumble about opportunities as though they were liabilities is sin. Much rather we want to pray one for another, “that the Lord . . . God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we should do.” Jeremiah 42:3. 7

MR. DON WIEBE B.A., B.Th. Academic Dean Theology Christian Ethics Hermeneutics Christian Education It is senseless to ask how far my action reaches, and where God’s grace begins; there is no common borderline; what concerns me alone, before I bring something about, is my action, and what concerns me alone, when the action is successfully done, is God’s grace. The one is no less real than the other, and neither is a part cause. God and man do not divide the government of the world between them; man’s action is enclosed in God’s action, but it is still real action. (Buber) Therefore my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Phil. 2:12, 13
