STUDENT COUNCIL Front row, left to right: John Schroeder, Second Class President; Ernie Wiens, Assistant President; Anne Rempel, Secretary, First Class President; Ernie Epp, President; Walter Dick, Treasurer, Third Class President; David Hamm, Dormitory Dean. Back row: John Thiessen, Christian Service Chairman; Linda Pauls, Dormitory Dean; Ingrid Goerz, Yearbook Editor; Rev. John Goossen, Principal; Hilda Fast, Literary Chairman; Mabel Enns, Music Chairman; Frank Koop, Recreation Chairman. We, the Student Council, have experienced a year which has involved much work but also a great amount of satisfaction. “But let every man prove his own work and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone and not in another.” Galatians 6:4. This has been true of the Student Council. The Student Council is composed of a representative from each committee, classroom, and dormitory, as well as a faculty advisor. In a united effort we have tried to promote various school activities and to provide a me¬ dium for closer student-teacher relations. One of the major concerns of the Student Council during this school year has been to draw up a constitution for the Student Association. This, together with other school functions, has kept us quite busy and I would like to say a personal thank you to each Council member for the time and effort which he or she has devoted to the work. I trust that God has been able to use us during the year in promoting the physical and spiritual well-being of the students, and that as we lay down this responsibility which was entrusted to us, it can be with the clear knowledge that our service has honoured God.
