— All about nerves, Oh you characters Outstanding among the Christian’s many rela¬ tionships is his relationship with God. Four significant, progressive phases of this relationship are: Almost 2,000 years ago the Apostle Paul said, “the time is short” (I Cor. 7:29). We are time conscious and yet we must realize that time is not controlled by the calendar or watch. Our time is in God’s hand. We must therefore use our time to the best advantage. This makes time spent in the serious study of the Bible worthwhile. I consider it a real privilege to serve the Lord in the Winkler Bible School. The opportunity to share precious Bible truths with the young people of our churches is a satisfying experience indeed. 1. The LOST relationship—“The son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” 2. The LOVE relationship—“We love him be¬ cause he first loved us.” 3. The LIFE relationship—“I am come that they might have life . . .” 4. The LASTING relationship”—and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” Paul, Mr. Doerksen, Charles, Joyce, Dorothy Mrs. Doerksen. M Food! “THAT I MAY WIN CHRIST.” PHIL. 3:7-14 Following the example of Paul: I MUST count loss for Christ the things that were gain to me — re-evaluate. v. 7 I MUST suffer the loss of all things— pay the price v. 8 I MUST do this one thing—forgetting the things behind— neither be discouraged nor satisfied with past achievements. vv. 12-13 I MUST reach forth unto the things which are before—have a clear vision. v. 13 I MUST press toward the mark— by the all sufficient and all enabling grace of God in view of the high calling. v. 14 Rev. and Mrs. H. Lenzmann Water! When Jesus Christ was among us. He im¬ pressed on us the importance of making the Message of Peace intelligible to our neighbours. The music department of the Winkler Bible School is assured that music, the “universal language,” is a means of expression so potent that the world has yet to see what can be done through music in the work of the Kingdom. We sense the need for increased emphasis on integrity and purity of expression in church music. God’s revelation to man is profound and awe¬ inspiring. Our response, feeble though it be, must be as complete and as worthy as we are able to make it. In those areas of life’s mystery where words fail us, music helps man to express the inexpressible.
