In this time of unprecedented progress and achievement in all the areas of life, the one factor that we are continually aware of is the element of change. Society changes, methods change and values change. However, the Bible says that God does not change (Malachi 3:6), and that His Word will endure forever. His ethical moral standards remain unaltered, His promises are steadfast and His judgments remain true. It has been our privilege to study God’s Word together. Much Bible knowledge has been acquired by each one of you in your studies. However, Bible knowledge alone is insufficient to effectively witness for Christ. The truth must be appropriated inwardly and it is only then meaningful when it is exercised in our personal life. The need today is for more Christian leaders in whom Christ can work in His ways in the power of the Spirit. It is my sincere prayer that, in the changing circumstances of your life, your faith in Christ will remain constant, that your love for God and man may abound and that you may be Ambassadors for Christ to be used in His service. It is with gratitude and appreciation that we welcome the appearance of this new issue of the Morning Star. — All about nerves, Oh you characters Outstanding among the Christian’s many rela¬ tionships is his relationship with God. Four significant, progressive phases of this relationship are: Almost 2,000 years ago the Apostle Paul said, “the time is short” (I Cor. 7:29). We are time conscious and yet we must realize that time is not controlled by the calendar or watch. Our time is in God’s hand. We must therefore use our time to the best advantage. This makes time spent in the serious study of the Bible worthwhile. I consider it a real privilege to serve the Lord in the Winkler Bible School. The opportunity to share precious Bible truths with the young people of our churches is a satisfying experience indeed. 1. The LOST relationship—“The son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” 2. The LOVE relationship—“We love him be¬ cause he first loved us.” 3. The LIFE relationship—“I am come that they might have life . . .” 4. The LASTING relationship”—and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” Paul, Mr. Doerksen, Charles, Joyce, Dorothy Mrs. Doerksen.
