MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD Werte Bibelschulfreunde: In Psalm 119:9 steht geschrieben: „Wie wird ein Jiingling seinen Weg unstraflich gehen?” Die Antwort: ,,Wenn er sich halt nach deinen Worten.” Noch immer ist das Wort Gottes, ausschlag gebend fur unsern Pfad durchs Leben! Soil es eine Bedeutung haben, so muss es vom Worte beleuchtet und durchdrungen sein. Und wenn wir in einer Zeit leben, wo dasselbe nicht mehr als ganze Wahrheit dasteht, wie sollten wir als Konferenz dankbar sein, dass wir hier noch befliissen sind, die ganze Bibel als Gottes Wort zu lehren, und unsern Studenten das zu geben, das ihnen im spateren Leben einen Halt gewehrt und ausriistet in Familie, Ge- meinde oder sonst dem Herrn zu dienen. Lasst uns dankbar sein fur das Werk der Bibelschule! Dankbar, fur die Lehrerbriider, die hier treu und auf- opfernd in der Arbeit stehn! Lasst uns weiter die Bibelschule ausbauen und dann schickt eure Sohne und Tochter zur Winkler Bibelschule damit sie etwas aufnehmen fur das Innere, das einen bleibenden Wert hat! Betet fur das Ganze! In this time of unprecedented progress and achievement in all the areas of life, the one factor that we are continually aware of is the element of change. Society changes, methods change and values change. However, the Bible says that God does not change (Malachi 3:6), and that His Word will endure forever. His ethical moral standards remain unaltered, His promises are steadfast and His judgments remain true. It has been our privilege to study God’s Word together. Much Bible knowledge has been acquired by each one of you in your studies. However, Bible knowledge alone is insufficient to effectively witness for Christ. The truth must be appropriated inwardly and it is only then meaningful when it is exercised in our personal life. The need today is for more Christian leaders in whom Christ can work in His ways in the power of the Spirit. It is my sincere prayer that, in the changing circumstances of your life, your faith in Christ will remain constant, that your love for God and man may abound and that you may be Ambassadors for Christ to be used in His service. It is with gratitude and appreciation that we welcome the appearance of this new issue of the Morning Star.
