(I Timothy 4:14a) It is one thing to know truth, it is quite another to believe and do it. We find this emphasized in the “Great Commission.” Here Jesus not only challenges His disciples to evangelize, but also to teach; not only to teach, but also to “teach to observe whatsoever I have commanded you.” Only there were known truth has been expressed in proper action has Christian Education really taken place. The Manitoba Mennonite Brethren Conference, its Education Committee, the Board and the Staff of the Winkler Bible School are all deeply concerned that here there should be true Christian Education. They can and do pledge the necessary resources, both material and spiritual, that truth as revealed in the written and the Incar¬ nate Word, be taught here, purely and clearly. But that is as far as they can go in this process; the student must complete it. Through sustained and dedicated effort he must be willing to learn; through obedience to the quickening power of the Holy Spirit he must come to believe what he has learned; and through the grace and power of God, he must faithfully do that which he both knows and firmly believes. That is the way to spiritual richness, fulness, joy — both in this world and that which is to come. Rev. H. H. Voth. 24
