SUPERINTfINDENT'S MESSAGE 1951-52 It has been said that good schools are expensive, but poor schools are more expensive . To my way of thinking, the latter part of this statement is certainly true. I challenge the fir st part. For any commodity or service to be valued,the returns it gives must be considered. Measured by the proper standards, education is generally recognized as a good buy. Thinking people differ in their opinions as to how and by whom schools should be operated, but few have challenged the basic idea of education. The citizens of Wink are to be commended for the liberal support they have given to their schools. They can expect continued improvement so long as such support prevails. We point with pride to the accomplishments of our students, as well as the quality and records of our graduates. R. A. Lipscomb
