Whitten Su erintendentls Messa e P S The great importance oi education in the world of today is self evident, and the need is greater than at any time in history. Education is not important to the individual ior the reason that it increases one's earning power, it is important to the individual only because it contributes to the well being of society and our way of life. We are the greatest and strongest nation in all history because there is hidden strength in our democracy and freedom. There is hidden power in freedom of education and freedom of oppor- tunity. Let us take advantage of these opportunities and meet our problems through realistic thinking. cz.-ff ilk' Principals Message ' It is my belief that the development ot the human resources of any country is the greatest task the citizens of that country can undertake. lt should be placed far above the development of material resources. When We lose siqht of this fundamental fact and fail to adequately support our public schools and other institutions which are designed to train and educate our youth, the Welfare ot our country is in jeopardy. My earnest hope is that this will never happen. Q, .W -- it ,. f , . ,,,,, .- V. , A 354 f f if 1 ' I7 ' ' f , Y N 'Y 5 xy If 4 5 F o iii' 5 f P I X .
