Team float Homecoming '80 started on the eve of September 19 when the Winifred girls defeated the Hobson Tigers in basketball. After the game everyone participated in the snake dance and burning of the Denton Projans. Homecoming actually began, however, on September 20 with a parade of floats furnished by the classes. The seniors took 1st place with their float and the most original float was created by the juniors. At halftime of the game the royalty was announced. Lisa Ehlert was crowned Queen and Dirk Hassler was King. After a tough game of football, the girls' basketball team played a hard game also against Denton. Later that evening a dance was held in the gym. Fusic was provided by the Wrangler Band. Homecoming was once again a happy memory for all! Class Prophecies PAGIE HICKEY—Pagie has now become a part of the Barnum and Bailey Circus as the second shortest person in the world. In her spare time she lives on a ranch with her husband and collects wrecked cars for a hobby,, SCOTT ROYCE—Scott is now living on a big cattle ranch near- Christina. Since this has been Scott's life ambition, he seems to be doing well along with his wife, Julie, and little son, Leroy Jr. CARLENE WICHMAN—Carlene is now a wealthy Computer Technologist making about $130,000 a year. She owns a large mansion with a swimming pool. SCOTT JIMMERSON—Scott is now living in a large mansion with a swimming pool. He is an unsuccessful author of the child's story The Life and Times of Puff and Sally. JERRY LY0N--Jerry is currently the sole owner of a landscaping business in Florida. He also owns his own used car lot where he buys at least 200 used cars a week. NONA HELLER—Nona is now fulfilling her life ambition as a successful hermit deep in the Crazy Mountains, where she owns a log mansion that is covered with cartoon drawings KEN BERGUM—Ken is currently employed at the local drug store as a pharmacist. He is very involved in his work; he invented a new drug to cure cancer. Kenny's motto is If you can’t handle it, take a pill. DIRK HASSLER—Dirk is now living in the Belt Mountains, being a real mountain man. He is not interested in anything except the animals around him, especially the bear he is living with. DEBBIE HASSLER—Deb is currently one of the biggest fashion designers in the world. She owns her own company and of course is the president and chairperson of the board. We've also heard that she is currently engaged to marry the owner of the biggest con- struction company in America. She'll of course design her own dress for the wedding. LISA EHLERT—Lisa is now a professional caddy for the FGA Golf Tour. Her retirement plans include owning her own club. CURTIS BROOKS—Curtis is the recent owner of Texas Industries. He attended Lewistown Computer College, where he furthered his education in computer data processing and computer programing. As the new owner of Texas Industries, he plans to build a com- puterized Mickey Mouse watch. TONY STUI£—Tony is engaged in managing the Rocking TJ Ranch. Tony owns over 30,000 head of cattle, of only the best stock. Tony, in his spare time, is also president of the Stulc Oil Company, situated in Dallas, Texas. Tony started as a small rancher and with good backing and a lot of brains, he is now one of the richest men in the U.S. STEVE RICH—Steve is now the owner of the biggest pig farm in the world. This is accredited to his own theory the deeper you plant them, the bigger they grow. SUSAN PETERSON—'Susan is well known for her crazy weekends and has thus become the new manager of the Miller Brewing Company. Her job is stationed in Glasgow, where Bhe and her husband now live. Susan has hired Peterson Trucking to do the beer hauls for the company. RUSTY BENES—Rusty won an Academy Award for best actress in his leading role in the 8 Oscar winning movie, How to Frame a Vo-Ag Teacher. He plans to make acting his long term career (with a smile like that, how can he miss?).
