This season there were more thinclads out for track than for several years. Boys out for track included the following: Rudy Stulc, Joe Wickens, Dennis Heggem, Rick Bergum, Wayne Kucera, Terry Selph, Bill Goettlich, Jerry Wells, and Dana Obrecht. The Raiders took third place at the district meet with 63 points. At the divisional meet in Great Falls, Dennis, Rudy, and Joe qualified to go on to the state meet in Missoula. New school records set were: Joe Wickens--high jump, 6'0 Rick Bergum--Discus, 128'4 Wayne Kucera—2 mile, 10:55 Dana, Wayne, Jerry, and Bill 44 Rita and Sue ready to run. Bovs’ And Girls’ j Track Season Is Successful The girls track team was made up of these girls: Janet Wickens, Teresa Thompson, Donna Martin, AndreaUdelhoven, Suzie Kinkelaar, Debbie Smith, Sue Ann Stulc, Kathy Lechner, Karen Erickson, Debbie Knerr, Rita Catron, Connie Meckling. They sponsored a track meet at Winifred early in May. At the district meet at Fergus County High School, they captured second place. Several track members went to the divisional meet in Great Falls.
