SKIP DAY On May 4th, the senior class took their annual skip day. They went to the Judith Mountains to picnic at a cabin belonging to Art McGhee. When they arrived at the cabin they found that there was still much snow on the ground. Soon, however, the snow melted and they spent an enjoyable afternoon and returned to Winifred about 9:00 p.m. This was the most enjoyable day of the year. May 18th through the 20th was the time chosen for the senior class trip. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Asbjornson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Reppe and Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Bergum provided the transportation. They left Thursday morning May 18th and journeyed to Gardiner stopping at Chico Hot Springs to swim. Friday, they made their way through Yellowstone Park and spent the night at West Yellowstone. Saturday, they started the trip home visiting sights at Quake Lake and going on a guided tour of the Lewis and Clark Caverns. The tired, but happy group arrived home about 9 o'clock Saturday evening. 28
