SENIOR PLAY Keith, Dave, Rita, Nancy, and Orren Jack, Rita, Dave, Leanna, Nancy, and Keith The Senior Class of Winifred High School presented the play Arse- nic and Old Lace” on March 31 and April 1. The entire action of the play took place in the living room of the Brewster home in Brooklyn during the 1940's. Miss Martha and Miss Abby Brewster, two lovely old ladies, who have the respect of the Brook- lyn police force, live with their nephew Teddy Roosevelt , who is mentally disturbed, in the Brewster Mansion. Miss Abby and Miss Martha have a little charity which disturbs their nephew Mortimer when he discovers the outcome of their kindness to their lonely fellows. Mort- imer tries to protect them, but matters are complicated when Jonathan, Mortimer’s horrible brother, after many years absence, returns to the Brewster Mansion with the plastic surgeon Dr. Einstein. Mortimer turns Jonathan over to the police and he persuades Martha and Abby to go to Happy Dale with Teddy and Mr. Witherspoon; that is until Jonathan throws a challenge to the ladies. Mortimer gets the lovely Elaine Harper and the Brewster Mansion goes to the church.
