Sestio 'Zfioto'Uf, In the fall of '50, eleven green Freshmen entered the study hall doors of Winifred High to begin four unforgettable years. The class consisted of Leroy Walton, Bill Waits, Bob Rich, Nancy Gibbons, Betty Wells, Martin Stulc, Vernon Smith, Edith Pearson, Betty Fuller and Effie Pearson. As we entered our Sophomore year, we gained Wayne Taffola but lost him again along with Bill Waits, Leroy Walton and Bob Rich. Frances and Ted Scoville transferred from Post Falls, Idaho. In our Junior year, Betty Wells left us to get married and Jim Sawyer joined our class. Our Junior play was entitled Rest Assured and our prom theme was Springtime in the Rockies. As we venture forth into our last year of high school, we realize the important decisions that lay ahead of us. We wish to thank the people of this community for making our education possible. The loss by graduation of this class from W.H.S. is felt by the student body to be a real tragedy of 1954.

Settlor 'Will We, the Seniors of the graduating class of 1953-54, being of sound mind do hereby make this our Class Will. ARTICLE I. To the faculty we will our integrity, dependability and ambition that has secured for us the position of SENIORS. ARTICLE n. To the Juniors, who are next in line, we leave excellent behavior (when under the teacher's eye), which added to their own would make them nearly as perfect as we are. ARTICLE in. To the Sophomores we will our ability to skip classes, make good grades and talk our- selves out of trouble. Good Luck! ARTICLE IV. To the Freshmen, we will our striking personalities, intelligence and knowledge which they will need during the next three years. ARTICLE V. To our sponsor, Mr. Bergum, we leave all the sweet and pleasant memories that have accumulated during our senior year. We also leave our luck and good wishes hoping he will be as successful with the class of '55 as he has been with us. Edith Pearson wills her ability to drive to Mr. Kettering and her friendly smile to Jo Ann Tuss. Martin Stulc wills his height to Martin Mendel. If this doesn't get you on the team it might get you in with the girls. Nancy Gibbons wills her promptness to Tony Arthur and her ability to write letters to Marian Bolstad. Vernon Smith wills his ability to skip school to Nancy Simac and his homestead at Roy to Bobby Simac and Larry Arthur. Frances Scoville wills her good grades, sincerity and friendly ways to Marian Asbjornson. Ted Scoville wills his position as editor of the annual to some hard working Senior of 1954-55. Betty Fuller wills her position as editor of the High School Paper to anyone that will have the job and she wills Lovers Hill to Nancy Simac. Jim Sawyer wills his position as an all around football player to Leo Osburnsen and his friendly ways to Sam Hunt. Effie Pearson bequeaths her quiet disposition to Bonnie Thompson and her bright, intel- ligent suggestions to Gordon Kucera. From all of the Senior Class, we leave our love, luck and best wishes to all of the stu- dents at Winifred High School, and hope that your Senior year will be as happy as ours has been.

THeet 76e Betty Fuller - Two heads are better than one (especially when together). Is known throughout Winifred High School for her cheering ability, good personality, how to make noise and to lose everything. Has been a favorite of the faculty and students for twelve long years. Her ambition is to become a secretary. Nancy Gibbons - It takes two to make a bargain. She has been a member of our class for twelve long years and has won many friends by her friendly ways and means of persuasion. She plans on being a school teacher. Edith Pearson - Say it with pen or ink, what is written remains, what is said speeds away. The little bit of the Senior Class has a nice personality and has taken part in all the activities during her four years of high school. Her ambition is to be a school teacher and we are sure she will succeed. Effie Pearson - This I give thee, not to keep, but to keep for me. She is known for her hume» and wit and teasing ability. Her ambition is very far from getting married and so far she thinks secretarial work will be her career. Jim Sawyer - “If you be my partner, deal not with me at arm's length.'' Is known as the clown of the Senior Class, for his many romances and is well liked by everyone. He plans on being a forest ranger. Francis Scoville - “Transport me safely or not at alL Is known for her intellectual ability and always breaking her two front teeth. She has been a popular member in high school. Her ambition is to be an elementary school teacher. Ted Scoville - If you borrow what is mine, you must guard it well. The quietest member of the class and is well liked by the students and faculty. His future plan is to be a mechanical engineer. Vernon Smith - Transportation is the wheel of trade. Is known for his ability to skip classes and get by with it. His ambitions are many, but we are sure his main one is ranching. Martin Stulc - Not every man owns what he possesses. He is known for getting away with being late for roll call in the morning and his 6'3 200 lb. frame could be given credit for this. He plans on being a jet pilot.
