S.G.A. at Wingate College has a two-fold purpose: (1) to coordinate the various student activities on campus, and (2) to inform and work with each student in order to maintain the high educational ideals of the college. The task of the S.G.A., though long and some- times tedious, is quite rewarding. The S.G.A. sponsors: rock concerts, dances, road rallyes. and other major events on campus, including movies, sponsoring tutoring services, planning talent shows and producing the Miss Wingate Pageant. HBH H MEN ' S DORMITORY COUNCIL The Men ' s Dormitory Council is a working organization for the school which keeps the men ' s dorms orderly for study purposes, talks to men boarding students about personal problems, and helps out with such events as the bloodmobile, dances, and concerts. WOMEN ' S GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION The purpose of the WGA is to help the girls to have a better understanding of each other and to make Wingate a better place for them. The WGA also gives the girls someone to talk to about their problems which 1S helpful — especially when they get five call-downs.
