Class Histories FRESHMAN There were the following pupils in the eighth grade: Charlotte Beck, Michael Crane, Leanore Polzen Norma Schutz, Eddie Scheafer, Delmar Show, Robert Thompson, and Jerald Westall. Mr. Huber was the teacher. In the fall of 195A there were the following green freshmen entering Winfred High School: Norma Schutz , Leanore Polzen, Charlotte Beck, Robert Thompson, Merrill feacock, Delmar Show, and Jerald Westall, Mr. Gottsleben, superintendent, Mr. Fritz and Mrs. Christensen are the teachers. SOPHOMORE In the' fall of 1953 there were seven confused, green freshmen. They were: Bill Hueners, Lila Hyink, Diane Potter Lynn Williams, Bobby Snyder, and Bill Scheafer. The teachers were Mr. Frith, Mrs. Keller for the first semester and Miss Chapin for the second semester, and Mr. Gottsleben, super- intendent. In the fall of 195A everyone was present except Bill Scheafer, who decided to get his education in Howard. Mr. Gottsleben is superintendent and Mr. Fritz and Mrs. Christenson are our teachers. JUNIOR Eight very green freshmen started high school in 1952. They were as follows: Paul Friedrich, Jim Friedrich, Kenneth McCurdy, Joyce Westall, Joan Maroon, Sharon Young, Marlene Johnson and Donna Hueners. Soon after the first semester Leonard Robb joined our class. Our teachers were Mr. Gottsleben, superintendent, Mr. Fritz and Mr. Huegelman. Our sophomore year started with nine students, the same as in our freshman year. Uoon after the second six weeks Leonard Robb reutrned to Minnesota so we had eight. Mr. Gottsleben, superintendent, Mn Fritz andMiss Chapin were our teachers. Our junior year started with Joyce Westall, Joan Maroon, Sharon Young, Donna Hueners, Pagl Friedrich, Jim Friedrich, Kenneth McCurdy, and Leonard Robb.
