“Bud and Lorna will their professional dancing abili- ties to Virgil Nipp and Norma Schutz. The three senior girls, Lorna, Thel, and Barb, will their three coat hooks that they've had all four years to the three freshman girls to keep, treas- ure, and cherish the rest of their high school days. The senior class wills their ability to get along and Wstick togethern to the sophomore class. They will their school skipping adventures and alibis to the freshman class and also their abil- ity to give good class plays. Good luck kids. To the Junior class they will the gumlstuck under the deskslg the books, which are in good condi- tiong the row of desks by the warm radiators, the pencils, erasures, old tests, candy wrappers, gum papers, apple cores, and anything else they might find. To the teachers, the seniors very gratefully will some peace and quiet during the summer months and until the next seniors take over. We advise you to make good use of it. CLASS HISTORY The eighth grade had ten pupils: Myron Anderson, Orville Johansen, Bob E Loretta Smith, Gene Beck, Norris Solen, Barbara Thompson, Charles Bliss, Darrell Johnson, and Lorna Westall. In the fall of 1951 nine green and mischievous freshmen entered the Winfred School. They were Gene Beck, Darrell Johnson, Charles Bliss Orville Johansen, Walter Harmdierks, Thelma Hyink, Barbara Thompson, Lorna Westall and Wuanita Johnson. Mrs Gottsleben, superintendent, Mr. Kloxin and Mrs. Vickere were the teachers. The king and queen cand- idates were Wuanita Johnson and Charles Bliss. The sophomore class consisted of the same enroll- ment excepting Wuanita Johnson who dropped out and went to Orland. The carnival king and queen were Thelma Hyink and Bud Harmdierks. Mr. Gottsleben, superintendent, Mr. Fritz and Mr. Huegelman were the teachers. Darrell Johnson left us and continued his junior year in Inglewood, California. Bob Smith came from Beadle High School to join us. The king and queen were Barbara Thompson and Orville Johansen. We put on the play Wwinning Schemersn with Mr. Fritz as our director. We gave a Junior-Senior Banquet with the Hawaiian theme. Mr. Gottsleben, superintendent, Mr. Fritz, Mrs. Keller one semester and Miss Chapin the other semester were our teachers. The senior class has now completed their four gears of high school education with eight seniors. arrell joined us from California again, but Bob Smith left us to go to California so there is now graduating Darrell Johnson, Gene Beck, Walter Harmdierks, Charles Bliss, Orville Johansen, Barbara Thompson, and Lorna Westall and Thelma Hyink. Thelma Hyink and Gene Beck were the carnival king and queen of the class. The seniors presented WHere Domes Charlien with Mrs. Christensen as our director, N ORTHWEST SEC U R I T Y MJ-XD! S ON
