WEEKS Superintendent There is no way in the world by whihh you can get something for nothing. It can be made to ap otherwise. But there is no way of escaping the final truth. It requires just plain common sense, which nowadays has become uncommon, to figure out that everything in the world comes from some- where, and goes somewhere, and there is always a reason for its coming and going. Life always balances its books and demands its price. The clothes you are wearing today are where they are because your father gave up s) fnething else to somebody else in exchange. The something else will usually be a certain number of hours of your work. :ncy of our economic life - everything we have of a material nature c of hard work for what he life is a ver • to go through. costs us didn ' t we would not ' a lot of time and trouble that t day ' s v b o to chanop t there were som work. They promise something for nothing. But in the sense I ' m using the work today, work pays off in dollars and cents - in more prosperity and better living. privilege of working with some of the fine teachers, students, and parents a person could ever hope for. During this period my fields of endeavor included Social Studies, Science, English, Mathematics, Bookkeeping, Guidance, Assistant Principal, and for the past seven years Principal. I can see successin some of the things I have attempted, however, I can see failure in many others.
