Class History of 1946 Thirteen years ago last fall eleven members of the class of 1946 started their education under the supervision of Mrs Bessie Miller Metzger That group included Paula renn, Nalter Hatton, Carmen Kongable, Beverly Lindell, Lauretta Mohr, Ralph McCray, Marvel gawhouser, Junior Rickey, Myers Rosslter, Shirley Simpson, and Martha wan The class proceeded to the first grade without any change 1 enrollment and was under the leadership of Mrs Nell Siberts Gorham Mrs Maxine Wnolnms Kurka guided the class through the second grade Janet Johnson entered from Olds In the third grade Mr Gayle Edwards Rotter was held responsible for our behavior Earl Crawford became a member of our class that year While we were in the fourth grade, we gained two new members Betty Gibbs from Pleasant Lawn, and Dean Swearingen. Our instructor for that year was Mrs Dorothy Bennett Renshaw. William Trout joined us in the fifth grade were guided through our fifth grade work by Mrs Clora Lynn Auton. Shirley Simpson, who had been gone two years, re entered the sixth grade which was under Mrs Elizabeth Gilbert Eyestone's care Miss Marie Bergstrom instructed us in our seventh grade work Miss Fern Anderson was our eighth grade teacher, it was in our eighth grade that Joan and Mike Pontzius entered from Swamp College Our Sponsor and officers for our freshman year were sponsor, Joe Wright, president, Carmen Kongable, vice president, Dean historian, Marbel Rawhouser At the end of our freshman year Joe Willet dropped The sponsor and officers for our sophomore year were sponsor, Homer Weis, president, Janet Johnson, vice president, Myers Rossiter, secretary, Helen Canby, treasurer, Lauretta Mohr At the start of our sophomore year Marietta Mason came to us from New London, and Earl Crawford returned after a two years absence. Mike Pontzius and Dorothy Howard dropped in our sophomore year and Elizabeth Bush entered during the year. Junior sponsor and officer were sponsor, Mrs. Lorna Fry, president, Carmen Kongable, vice president, Junior Rickey, secretary, Joan Pontzius, treasurer, Betty Gibbs We lost four members at the end of our junior year. They were Glenna White, Elizabeth Bush, Helen Canby, and Ernest Williams, who was drafted into the United States Army The last new member was Verna Conn, who entered our class in 1945 Our senior sponsor and officers were sponsor, Mr G. G, Bellamy, president, Mvers Rosslter vice president Martha Swan secretarv Janet JohnS0D. treasurer, Ralph McCray. Mr G G.
